I have been an avid runner for a few years, completing 9 marathons. Last year I decided to up my distance to a 50k and a 100 miler to see how far I could push my body. I also enjoy competing in obstacle course races like Tough Mudder and Spartan.
I decided last year that I was getting any younger that I would step up my game and train and compete in my first triathlon, just a Sprint, to see what it was all about and if I would like it or not. I ended up competing in another sprint and an Olympic and this year signed up for my first half and full Ironman both in Chattanooga. I Absolutely love the sport and convinced several of my friends to start competing with me. What I love about the sport is that there is so much research and training to do to make yourself better and in so many different areas from the transition to, at least for me, the swim which I had to teach myself to do.
I've been enjoying the training with all my friends as we all learn the sport together. During the off season I was looking at plan after plan and talking to others that had completed and was overwhelmed and what was going to be the best to help me finish. Then I came across TriDot and that changed everything. I now have everything that I need at my fingertips. Training is fun and I compete against myself to score 100% on the TrainX. I hope to continue competing in the sport of triathlon as long as my body will let me and hope to one day participate in Kona!
Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough
